Teenage students battle power in a true heavy metal style in an attempt to keep their school principal in a job – after being called upon to resign for being a fan of Iron Maiden.
High school students at Eden High School in St. Catharines, Ont., Rally behind their metalhead principal after worried parents demand that she be fired for listening to Iron Maiden.
The students started their own petition on behalf of Mrs. Sharon Burns saying, “She spreads nothing but love and kindness, and is probably one of the best and most enthusiastic principals the school has to offer. ever had. ”
The petition responds to that of parents, who want the principal removed from the school’s administrative office for saying on Instagram that she listens to heavy metal rock legends.
The petition presented by the parents reads: “As parents concerned about impressionable children at Eden High School in St. Catharines, Ontario, we are deeply disturbed that the principal assigned to the school blatantly showed him satanic symbols and his allegiance to satanic practices. public social media platforms where all students can see them under @edenprincipal (not their personal account).
“Our school is based on inclusion and openly displaying satanic symbols (on a public social media platform) that go directly against the principles of the vast majority of families who represent the school, is not inclusive.
“As parents, we ask for her transfer to another school. Please replace her with another principal who aligns with the values of Eden’s families and will not sabotage the teaching or maintenance of these values and will not will not try to introduce impressionable students to satanic practices or symbolism.
In retaliation, the students launched a petition from them, calling on people not to judge Ms Burns’ role as a director based on an Instagram post.
The petition begins: “Recently there was a petition to ‘remove’ the principal of Eden high school,” continuing, “if somehow you don’t like the principal of the school in your child, grandchild, parent, etc., then send them to another.
Listing the educator’s efforts to make Eden a diverse and inclusive environment, the statement continued, “She even turned an entire room into a prayer hall for students who practice religions other than Christianity, such as ‘Islam.
“She made Eden a safe space for so many people. If you want to shed some light on this whole petition, consider signing up!
